I need help trying to ID this new creature I found. Due to its location, I can't get a photo, so I will try to describe it in hopes of getting some ideas of what it might be and doing some further research from there. The best way to describe it is a long tube-like creature with the end looking like a kings crown. It is about 2" long, 1/2" wide, off-white in color, and only comes out at night. The end has tenticles that look like a kings crown. Every other tenticle is shorter, and there is only about 10 total around the edge. There is something in the middle that might be a mouth, but I can't tell. It is underneath an overhang out of any direct light. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any info.

Sounds like some type of cnidarian. Other than that, without a pic, it will be impossible to make an ID.

kind of sounds like a rock anemone, but this is just opinion, really hard to say without a pic.
