Coraline Algea...

Any secrets to getting this stuff to freakn' grow! I have tried dripping my kalk but the damn thing keeps getting stopped up. I also just got Kent Turbo calcium. And I use the liquid calcium. I even took a milk jug punched a whole a few inches from bottom stuck a tube in it and tried that way but no luck, still got clogged.

Alot of people will bash me for this, bring it on!! :wink:

I used coral-vital for the only purpose of boosting my purple coralline growth. Worked like a charm and the purple quickly took over my tank. I only used for roughly 1-3 weeks or so then stopped. I don't like adding anything to my tank without knowing what is exactly in it but either way it worked and I stopped using it after the corraline took off...

I too have done the same thing. I had a good friend who swore by the stuff. He was in reefkeeping for over 20 years. However, I believe a good way to 'seed' your tank would be to get a real good piece of coraline covered rock and put a powerhead in front of it to spread the spores about your tank.
