flim algae

I get this green film algae build up every couple days. not sure how to combat it other than scraping it off? I use DI water which hasnt really helped? Any thoughts?

Edited* to include yes i have 4 large turbos in my 20gal. should i increase my snail populous?

So is this on the glass? Cuz just about every tank I have ever had needs the glass cleaned about 2x per week.

That's normal for my tank, it needs to be cleaned every few days.

Say Bro,
That is def. normal. My "show" tank has a ****load of snails and still the glass gets "magnet" cleaned 1 or 2 x's per week.
