Iwaki or Little Giant??

I am going to buy an external pump and I am up in the air about the brand I should go with. I would like some feedback on these two pumps, if you have any experiance with either. Im looking for info on noise and effenciency along with how long they ask. And any other info on them.

Little Giant - 4-MDQX-SC - 1180GPM @ 4' head.
Iwaki - WMD30RLXT - 960 GPM @ 4' head.

Both are great and perform about the same. I prefer the MD30LRXT over both of those. The extra money is worth it. Quieter and runs cooler IME.

Based on my personal experience I have found the Little Giant to be the quieter of the two pumps plus you get more flow for the buck. I've been running a Little Giant 4-MDQX-SC for 5+ years with no problems.

Did you lub the LG periodically, Chooch?

I've owned both, several lg's currently using blueline (another you may want to consider)

I really cant say the iwaki was any better than the little giant

both are good pumps

I own a couple of Iwakis. Great pumps. I also own 2 Sequence 1000 series pumps, and like them even better. These pumps kick a$$. Very efficient pumps.
