Wouldn't that be peculiar to their channel only? Last night I simply couldn't hook up to a single irc.xnet server, they were all full. And I'm positive that my channel isn't flooded with bots.

I'm considering moving to another server listing at this point - this is happening very consistently with Xnet, but I have yet to have it happen on a single Linux dedicated server/channel. (Like #gentoo)

xnet is xnet

i hear the xnet servers were getting hit w/a 100,000 hits/hr

when the servers go down, you can't connect

i surmise the attack is port specific, or range specific, hence the alternate given
