how long have you had the tank? how long have you had the anemone? what are your water parameters?

...although anemones will move around the tank when they are fine, I usually don't see condy's release their footing completely unless their unhappy with the water.

From what I've read, condy's will find a good spot and adhere to it for a long time (like years) without moving. The only time my condy "jumped" was when I had the tank about 2 months and was adding salt trough the top of the tank. It was falling right on him, and he jumped very quickly. (he was fine after that and I still have him)

maybe some salt creep fell onto the fella. similar thing happened to mine as well. almost detached but a quick spritz got the salt creep off altho he had a 'burn' for a while.

An anemone that is stressed should not be fed. If the anemone is weak and you keep trying to feed you will make her weaker. Every time you feed she will fire her nematocysts and use up energy she needs.

Her foot detaching is not a good sign. Walking is normal, but detaching appears to be a way of using the current to wash away from an unliked location(poor light, bad water, or harassing critters). Sometimes detaching is a sign of extreme weakness and many times they do not recover.
