There have been a few things that I have wanted to add to my tank but I have been putting it off. Now a local reefer is tearing down his tank and is selling some of the stuff that I have been wanting. Here is what I have: 90 Gallon tank with about 90lbs of LR and a 2" to 3" sandbed. Our inhabitants are as follows: True Perc, Black Ocellaris, Royal Gramma, Yellow Watchman Goby, Firefish, and 2 Green Chromis'. We also have 2 Peppermint Shrimp, 1 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp, 1 Pistol Shrimp, 1 Blood Shrimp, 1 Emerald Crab, 8 or so Hermits, few Astrae, Cerith, 2 Turbo snails, and 12 Nassarius snails. 1 Hawaiian Feather Duster, YSP, GSP, and 2 stalks of Xenia.

I would really like to add any of the following: Pink Cucumber, Serpent Star, Sand Sifting Star, Orange Starfish, Purple Sea Slugs, Sally Light Foot Crab.

Any advice would be appreciated as I am trying to avoid compatability issues.

Your desired new additions are all compatible with your existing livestock. However, I must warn you of a couple of things. Sand sifting stars are ravenous detrivores and will literally eat dry your sandbed in short order. I do not recommend them. I'm not sure what type of Orange Starfish you're referring to, but most starfish aren't very hardy and you may be better served resisting the temptation. Purple Sea Slugs aren't very hardy either, often being sucked up by pumps, overflows, skimmers, etc. Some serpent stars may be carnivorous, preying on small inverts (like crustaceans) or fish while they're sleeping.

As you can tell, stars are a mixed bag and something I'd avoid unless you know what you're buying exactly. Hope that helps. Just my two cents, of course ;)

Thanks for the help. What about the pink cucmber. I am assuming he means a pink knobby cuke. I have heard of a cuke nuke are these more susceptible to this than other cukes?
