ok, so the plan is to have a 48 long 24 high and 24 deep glass tank drilled with overflow and bulk head fittings for a closed loop.

questions:

1. what size holes should i have for maximum flow? i hear 1 inch, 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, 1.5 inch...what would be the best holes for a tank with sps and heavy flow?

2. where should these holes be and how many on the back of this tank? i would imagine a hole somewhere low in the back of the tank for the drain, and two return outlets somewhere up high set up on a scwd. could that be diverted into 4 different directions via nozzles of some sort? or would one external pump be able to have enough power and flow coming out of FOUR return holes? (my sump return pump will top off with a sea swirl of...? some size.)

what do you think? where should they be for maximum water movement?

thank you so much for anything anyone can throw out my way.
