I just purchased a new chiller with a built in controller. There was a 5 degree difference between my new controller and my Medusa that I used on my old chiller so I dug out my calibration thermometer to see which was correct. To my surprise I've been running my tank at 74 degrees now for well over a year. Will it be OK to slowly raise the temp to 77-78 degrees?

It's actually much easier to bring about a rise in temperature (as far as the vertebrates are concerned) than a drop within, say, a 24 hour period. However, I'm kind of curious, since it ain't broke (at that temperature), why fix it?
