BESIDES UV STERILIZER AND OZONIZER, WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER? I HAVE HEARD CARBON TAKES SOME OF THE GOOD WITH THE BAD LIKE THE ABOVE MENTIONED. TRUE OR FALSE?

Ozonizers I know little about. UV I would not use in a reef. I also dont think it would "clear up" your water visually to much either way.
I think the best method for clear water in a reef is high flow with a GOOD skimmer, such as ASM,ETSS,Euro-reef,lifereef, etc.

I've only had crystal clear water back in the FO days. I don't think you'd want that for a reef. It's good to see some floating particulate in a healthy system.

I agree that the best method for clearer water is either a good skimmer or refugium plus proper feeding practices and water changes.

My 46 gallon has AWESOME clear water - I change 8 gallons a week now with RO/DI water and it looks good.

If you have cloudy or milky water there may be something wrong but most of the stuff you normally see "floating" around is healthy and some is also alive and part of your eco. My water is crystal clear but has a lot of floaties most of which swim around at night.

I use no filters, no carbon but on occasion, and a sump with an internal fuge with macros.

If you are doing water changes and are staying up on your parameters I think a mature tank should appear clear with the normal suspended matter that floats around in there.

I recommend highly that you stay away from UV and I won't comment on OZONE.

How old is your tank? I have noticed that the water was hazy on both of my tanks for several months before the biological systems fully matured to keep the water sparkling.

I make sure my skimmer is running at peak performance and add a little carbon for a day or so occasionaly. Does the trick for me.

my water stays crystal clear... my tank is 75 gallon, 90 lbs l/r... berlin classic skimmer, run carbon in a magnum cannister... ive been planning on getting away from the carbon, but my water is always so good... its kind of hard to run it without it since ive had such good results with it.

Ozone will absolutely clear water however its for advanced aquaria use only not casual use.

Carbon is the simplist way to get clear water along with regular water changes.

UV will do NOTHING to improve water clarity.
