HELP! CRAB/CLOWN EATING CARPET (RATED G)

I respectfully disagree,
I had up to 4 emeralds in a 55 gallon reef tank before and they were the most peaceful inhabitants of the tank except snails. I would hand feed them and they never attacked anything in my tank that wasn't already dead. Of course with any species, there are bound to be a few bad apples.
Seeing as you probably got one of these "bad apples" I would suggest getting him out if you can, just don't think all emeralds will be like this one....

EB847 and many others with a CAPNAME are fully aware of the cap lock issue, but it is the first amen. that give them the freedom to do what they want...

I have one thats shed out to 2 inches across.Big male.He ate all his counter parts after mating with them in the past two years. Has been a model citizen up until the last shed were he is now diminishing 60 lbs of live rock Coraline at an alarming rate(constantly scraping),nori is forced upon him to slow him down but his time in my lil ocean is coming to an end.
Stick with scarlets and lefties......You cant go wrong.
For that matter any Blue or Green crustacean just seem to be bad boys....Bad Crab,Badddddddd.

that should go in your signature! hahaI had an evil emerald. It kicked ass in eating up the bubble algae, but when that was all gone, he aquired a taste for fish. Nipped and nearly killed my one ocellaris, but the tough guy came around and is okay. I got rid of the emerald. I may some day get another for bubble algae, and then just remove him when the algae's gone again. I dunno.
If they run outa food, IME they FIND food, by any means possible :roll:

I like the way you think.I have to admit he did devore a large buble population for me.......Delema Delema----I'll trade him around as a bubble mower to my LFS there always loaded with the stuff.

No matter what you say or how you type it they will still answer your posts. (Trust me) Its because they love this hobby so much and love to give there opinion so much that if you typed LiKe ThIs ThEy WoUlD StIlL answer your posts. Gotta love it.
I really like the Lambda Lambda Lambda reference. That was nice. I cant believe that people can be so anal about reading in all caps. I type in all caps all day because that is what my job calls for. I stopped doing it in here because as you can see they will very quickly loose sight of the question you asked to complain about you typing in all caps. I personally look for posts that are typed in all caps so that I can see how many people will post before somebody complains. This time it took two people. That has to be some kind of record. It hardly ever makes it past the first person.

That has got to be the dumbest thing I ever heard. Please tell me your joking. Wahat kind of computer you running these days a barbie laptop? If your server has to worry about running out of space because people are typing in caps than you have some serious problems. Please tell me your joking.

The all caps issue is not singularly an issue of the first amendment. Absolutely he can type them anyway he wants. However, as we move more towards an electronic community it is important to keep the civility in our communication. Good thing about computers and being "alone" while discussing things is you can pick your nose or do what you will -- but when you choose to do something that is widely accepted as uncivil (yelling in e-mails) it's just plain RUDE!
