Your clown bites at the mouth of the anenome? I've seen mine biting at the tentacles, looking like it was giving the anenome oral, but only while they were "acclimating" to the new anenome.

HE TOOK A CHUNK OFF THIS MORNING, THEN SPIT IT OUT. I THINK HE CAUGHT MAD COW FROM THE EMERALDS. I THREW THE EMERALD IN THE POOL TO SEE HOW LONG HE COULD OUTRUN THE SWEEP. THEY'RE FAST, BUT NOT FAST ENOUGH.

As far as I know they only eat algae and small palatable fish and such. They usually associate with anemones and I'm sure if your anemone was dying it may feast on it. I find it hard to believe that it would attack and eat a healthy specimen (anemone).

There may be bad apples, my emerald stays on his side of the tank and eats his algae and picks off the rocks. Nothing in mt tank has the BALLS to go near my LTA except the tomato clowns. Even the sand sifter star seems to now to go around it :) . It may bring up it's claws if anything big gets near it but usually justs runs with its claw between its shell.

AND THATS ALL I HAVE TO SAY!!!!!,

omg, the internet is gonna crash now for those CAPS!!!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!

gUyS, yOu HaVe No SeNsE oF iMaGiNaTiOn...

Emerald crabs may look like they're scraping at coralline algae, but I don't think they can do any substantive damage to coralline algae. An urchin, now, can definitely scrape corallines. I've heard limpets can also do that.
