clams and 150w halide

hey guys, this is the setup i plan on getting. it is for a regular 29g reef. i dont have much in it yet, but i want clams really bad. i will be getting one of the clam books by christmas but i was wondering what ya'all that. will this be enough for a Maxima and maybe derasa??? i only want one. will this be enough light
24" PFO Acrolight:
1 x 150W 10,000K Metal Halide Bulb
1 x 150W Metal Halide PFO Ballast
2 x 75W Super Actinic VHO Bulb
Standard PFO Electronic Fluorescent Ballast

Yes, your lighting is plenty sufficient to keep T.maxima.

I concur. I kept and grew out a T. maxima for quite some time under a 150 HQI before I moved it to another tank.

I keep both T.maxima and crocea under that light(10K Ushio)-no problem

thanks guys, thats great, do u but them higher in the rockwork, or in the sand. i want mine in the sand but i dont know if its to low or not??

Great lighting for Tridacnid clams but might watch your heat in that 29 Gallon with your lighting.. JMO
