Well all of a sudden it looks like the dinos moved out? I hope I'm not jinxing myself but there were no visible traces of them anywhere!?

The only thing I have done that might have hepled this was add a refugium with macro but I was under the impression that it could take a long time before seeing results from the macros.

I will know for sure when I get home today from work. If there is still no trace then they must be gone. I just got my aquadose and havent had a chance to set it up to drip kalk yet but I will probably do it anyways.....

That's great, what type of macros did you use and how much? I think I'll set one up just to avoid any furture problems. BTW I just want to say that I did add 4 cucumbers to my tank during the peak of my dino bloom and they died within hours as did the 3 urchins. Remember dino's are they are toxic, and it would seem more so to animals that might eat them.

Whats scary is I think my starfish had been eating them, hope he will be alright!

I got chaetomorpha, seems to be the best out ther because you dont have to worry about it going sexual and leeching its toxins back into the water like caulerpa. Also I don't belive that chaetomorpha has to be "pruned" a certain way.

The chaetomorpha that I have is growing at an alarming rate! If you wait a couple weeks and remind me I'm sure I can ship you some for free if you wanna pay for the shipping charges....

Damn, sorry to hear it.
I'm still having good luck. I added a couple of hours to my halide light cycle (10am to 4pm), and noticed a few areas that were showing signs of dino's. I hooked up a 25 watt Aqua UV yesterday and still running my PH around 8.5 with the help of a kalk drip. I also bought some macros and added a small power compact light to my sump. Time will tell. I tested the water yesterday and everything looks good. I plan on running my PH at 8.5 to 8.6 for the next 5 days.

How much chaetomorpha should I use for a 200 gallon tank? Where can I get it and is it free floating or attached to a rock? I will be glad when this dino phase is over.

If anyone has any other suggestions let me know.
