excalibur skimmers

i was using a cpr bak pak and i thought it worked fine, but when i swithed to a tank with a sump i got the ex skimmer and it does'nt seem to skim very much. i know its cheap but should i take it back and get something better and what do you reccomend. 65 gal rr

Euro-Reef ES5-2 is my first choice. Second is AquaC EV120. Third would be AquaC Urchin Pro.

i had an excalibur and replaced it with a euro-reef E series.
it's kinda hard to beat the euro-reef economy series in bang for the buck.
