When the fish was purchased it was labelled as a "unicorn tang" however, I have been unable to find any pictures of unicorn tangs that resemble these patterns. The fish is a light green color with purple spots, purple lips, and a light purple pattern in her tail fin.

Thanks for the information. I found an article on advanced aquarist that was very helpful. Looks like I'll be getting a larger tank very soon.

She was in a 55 gallon, but alas I have returned her to my local fish store where she will hopefully find a home in a bussiness installment (large) fish tank. She was a great fish for three months, but I felt bad keeping her knowning that she would grow to large for my tank.

I'd love to have a vlamingi - personally I would not keep one in anything less than a 10' x 2.5' tank for the life of the fish.

You did the right thing - hopefully the LFS will make sure the next person to buy one has a good understanding of what the animal needs for a full life.
