How can we help reefs.org??

It appears to me that the traffic here has slowed down. Not as many new posts.

What can we do other than tell everyone we know in the hobby to come here?

Be as friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable as possible.

I've extended the invitations to folks who post at a digiphotog site I frequent who have questions on how to photograph fish.

Also, know that, while there may not be as many new posts (remember, vacation season is warming up now), this does not mean that RDO isn't getting traffic - i.e. folks may simply be viewing topics without posting to them.

Weather is warming up. Slow-down for this hobby (commercial and online communities) is normal during late spring, summer, and early fall. It's always been this way. I guess some people have better things to do when the weather is warm .... those heathens

Traffic normally drops off some in the summer. For some reason, people would rather be outside working on their lawns or on vacation than spending $$ on their reef tank.

What can we do other than tell everyone we know in the hobby to come here?

Tell everyone you know about us. Tell them about Reefs.org, Advanced Aquarist, and MACO and what all can be found here. MACO's gearing up so there will be classes forming soon. Also, we've got a short webpage linked from our homepage that might be worth referencing: http://www.reefs.org/about.html Also, when people post, be courteous and welcome new people to the board. The friendlier we are, the more people will want to post. If you feel like it, use the following graphic in welcoming people:

I always refer people here, I will do my best to bring in more. I also frequent a local reef board here in seattle (thepsas.org) I will borrow a few people from there :wink: 8)

Yeah im a big advocate of RDO... also keep in mind finals for college have been going on and are still going on depending on the college and state...(and for me its hockey playoffs, been pretty intense)..I just finished my finals last night and have been cramming for nearly two weeks thats the reason i have slacked on posts..

..but its prolly because (well, at least in the East Coast), spring has finally showed up for the first time in 2 years. Last year on the EC it rained, and rained, and rained...

Businesses in general slow down for the summer months too.

What do you mean a "graphic link" exactly? Are you saying just a link back to RDO from someplace using our clownfish graphic? Or are you wondering about linking pics into a different site from photos you've uploaded here? You need to be logged in to view photos if they're hosted in our BB.
