I just added a CB and it is about the same size as my tang and the tang seems a little upset and is chasing the CB around the tank. Is this normal? Will they eventually get along?
I added a CB to my 90 about a month ago. My slightly larger purple tang chased him around the tank for about 48 hours. They get along pretty well now, but every now and again (once or twice a day) my purple tang will give the CP a chase in what appears is to be showing who is Alpha Male. Other than that, they apppear to get along fine.
My only issue is my copperband will only eat frozen mysis. Has anyone weened a CP onto flake or other frozen foods?

Is this normal for a Zebrasoma flavescens ( Tellow Tang ) to be upset when adding a Chelmon Rostratus ( Copperband Butterfly ) ? In one word: Yes.
Tangs are manic to begin with and adding a fish of similar coloring and shape will set them off. Hopfully after a few days they'll coexist. If not rearrange the rock work alittle and that should help.
As far a feeding Copperbands try shredded pieces of shrimp or squid and yes some will accept flake foods but meaty foods are better.
what about the copperband and corals?? or longnose butterfly?? can they be put in a reef ? and if there is a tang in there also is that asking for too much??????
My copperband hasn't touched any corals, neither does my Purple Tang. As a matter of fact the only fish I've ever had that has picked at any corals was a Flame Angel.
