This is his home..12 gallon JBJ... Runs very hot... 88 degrees sometimes so I leave the tank open a lot and through ice cubes in the back center baffle...

A peacock mantis shrimp have such powerful smashing claws that they are capable of breaking glass and shattering the bones of the human hand!

mantis can hit with the same force as a .22 cal which could easily mangle what was once part of your hand. It is still an animal and could very well strike your hand one day making you regret the thought of ever hand feeding him....or her. I know a woman who had one of those tiny shitzus(sp) and after 15 years of kisses from it the dog decided no more and ripped most of her upper lip apart, just goes to show you can never expect animal behavior.
