My mother decided to surprise me by introducing two blue damsels to my reef tank. One of these guys/gals is great and is extremely docile. The other can only be described as a holy terror. I knew that I didn't want damsels due to their typical boisterous nature but at least they are supposed to be reef safe. Not this one. He has successfully all but killed the other damsel, is working on my blue/greens and my ocellaris. To top all of this off, he has developed the habit of attacking my star colony, the zoanthids, and my mushrooms with great gusto. He will also wait for the reef crew to make an appearance and then go nuts on them. This fish is possibly the spawn of Satan! My bubble tip even gets picked on and is now hiding deep in a crevice! This guy seems to be imune to everything! He is also excellent at avoiding the net! Short of tearing my tank down to retrieve the little guy, is there any way to dispose of him before my tank resembles a Mars scape? I am losing sleep over this fish! Help! I would return this guy to the LFS from whence it came, but that would only turn him into someone else's nightmare. Looking for suggestions on what to do with it. I believe that my bubble tip may be volunteering to arrange his introduction to Davey Jones' Locker!

Try a small barbless hook and dont feed them for a day or so.

I was able to remove a demonic damsel and put it into a frag tank by not feeding for a day and then adding brine shrimp to the very top of the tank with net in hand. As soon as the damsel came up to feed I got it. .

I was able to do exactly as Cabreradavid did, except I caught 4 of these little demons. Now, if I could only catch my Royal Gramma that seems to be causing problems.
