I want to get a 75gal glass tank. Now my question is, if i want a trickle filter should get "reef ready" or not? I plan on having zoos and acros and what ever else. so which would be a better choice?

I think reef ready just means drilled with an in the tank overflow or two drilled holes.

I would say get the reef ready. That particular decision does not affect what animals you can keep. IMO

I think a reef ready is always the better choice, I hate not being able to plumb a tank to a sump.

Reef ready will be more cost effective. Plus they are less likely to have problems as compare to those Hang On overflows.

I would definitely get reef ready, but I'm not sure you really want a trickle filter. In my opinion, trickle filters are nitrate factories. Better to invest in a high quality skimmer and some good live rock than a trickle filter. Please do some reading before you buy. I spent 200 on mine and scrapped it three months after installation because I had major algae problems.

I have ran both a reef ready and a hang on overflow. Reef Ready is the ONLY way to go. The hang on had problems with the siphon tube and was always a worry. This is such a no-brainer decision that if you even consider a non-reef ready you should go outside and bang your head on a brick wall. That way you will know ahead of time how you will feel everyday if you don't buy a reef ready. Is this clear enough?

yeah i know but where can i get one?

Find an LFS in your area and order one, have it shipped to the LFS. I don't think on line is the way to go for a tank.

They should have catalogs from manufacturers/distributors.
