Any images? Where is this lump? External origin or internal? There are a lot of possibilities.

...thank you for the quick reply, but it seems that this was the last sign of his problems, he has passed away, after much effort on my part and his, he was a trooper, and the first fish I met with personality......I have had a FOWLR tank for almost a year, 55g with three dominos, and he was my first real addition.....three weeks, he ate well, the damsels didn't seem to pick on him, and he actually seemed happy, then a white/red ulcer showed up on his side, and 2 days later, he is gone.....

Sorry to hear that Teddy. Probably was an infection (possibly from an open would) or could've been cancerous.
