could anyone give me advise on the maxi jet 1200's for use with a Wavemaster Pro? I am currently using Rio 1400's (2) a Rio 2500 (1) and one other small pump. The problem is that these pumps I am using are NOISY and clatter each time they come on, which is quite often. I am worried that these pumps will burn out or drive me out of the family room, or drive my fish crazy.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Most here say the MJ1200s work great on wavemakers. I hear they are very quiet when starting. Rios are not only noisy but are known for failure and for dumping oil into the tank.

i have 3 MJ 1200's running on a reef fanatic wavemaker on a short 30-second random cycle, so they're coming on-and-off all the time. they're super quiet and very reliable.
