I recently noticed some flatworms in my reef. I did a search on them - the closest looking worm I found was in the turbellarian family. These worms are greenish/brown in colour, with some red on one end. These worms seem to cluster on the sand and rubble, and don't seem to bother any corals or clams. I bought a 6-line wrasse, mandarin, scooter, and an arrow crab hoping they would help eat the flatworms. There seem to be less of them in the tank. Any ideas on what else will eat these darn flatworms? Thanks

Nothing will eat them for sure. C.varians (nudibranch) is reported to eat them, but I have yet to see these sea slugs keep pace with flatworm population blooms. Some Leopard wrasses will eat them too, but this is very hit and miss. Flatworms rarely do any harm, but it does get unsightly. The sad news is there isn't much you can do about them. They simply grow too fast.

Everytime I run flatworm exit they go away and come right back in a couple of days. I am just starting to leave them alone and suck them out the best I can when I do water changes.
