Not too many post today so I thought I'd start something up.. How fast does your blue ricordea grow? I've had my blue for 6 months and it hasn't split.. although it has doubled in size... however, my orange ricordea has split twice already and looks like it may split again. Got both at the same time. Just wondering if blues grow slower or something

I've got a green that has split several times...but my two blues haven't yet...and one blue seems to be bothered by some yellow polyps...so much so that's it's starting to smother some orange polyps in the other direction.

I gotta move some stuff during my wc tonight. :D

Mine didn't do squat for 5 years, then it began to split fairly quickly as far as Ricordeas go. Of course, quickly is a relative term. These suckers are slow.

Mine grow well, I have a whole rock covered in them. Target feeding helps I think.

Of course, they are gray. I have heard of blue ricordia but all the ones I have seen are only blue under a blue light.

These are mine under 10K's, before the crash. They were one of the few corals to survive, and are a little grayer now. I'm sure they'll color back up, tho. They have not split in the 3+ years I've had them, but they have gotten much bigger.

My green Rics were doing great until my tank had a hiccup and it has been a struggle to get them back on track again.

A belated "Holy crap! Sorry for your loss. :(" from me.

Thanks, bud. The 180 gets moved to the new house this Wednesday. I've already bought a floor jack to install in the basement tomorrow (there are three other 2x6 braces, as well as part of a concrete wall down there), so I'll have it set up and running next week. Then the restocking commences.

:D

Peace,

Chip
