solby,what made you connect the sand bed to the main tank?
Cyanobacteria outbreak! and my feeling that I needed more surface area to harbor bacterial populations. Since I have a weak skimmer and not as much flow as I should have I was concerned that I wasn't remove enough dendritus as I should.

:scratchch maybe I'll pull the sand out of my tank and do a zoa bottom, that looks hot :D better than the anthelia bottom I had 2 years ago :dead1:

i dont know:scratch: but i just added a tunzie 6000 to my 90 sps tank and aimed it upwards and its seperating my 3" sandbed in half like moses parting the red sea...barebottom looks hot with zoos...i think im throwing out the sand
