I have a 215g heavily stocked sps tank, and i was just wandering if anybody out there can tell me if they think a lcr2 will be able to handel the calcium and alkalinty needs of this tank. Realy, just looking info on lifereef calcium reactors.
Ive looked at them ,but that is about it. I have a lifereef vs3 48" skimmer, and it is an awesome skimmer. The quality and performance are both very good, so im pretty sure the calcium reactor will be of the same quality. The only reason im even asking questions concerning the reactor is because Jeff (at lifereef) told me that he couldnt guarantee the the reactor will handel all my calcium needs. Ive been using b-ionic for years, and a lot of it, i dose 120 ml's (mtc doser) of each part ,a day. and it gets expensive. I want a reactor that can handel the tank , without haveing to add anything else. Tank is a 215g oceanic w 50g sump
A good way to get the most out of a calcium reactor is get one with a second chamber, this helps utallize the C02 better. See if he can add a second chamber to the reactor.
I also use a kalkreactor, if you don't have one of those get one. If you use a two chamber reactor and a kalkreactor then you won't have to worry about CA IMO.
