I took a piece of LR outta my main tank and put it in my 5.5gal mantis tank...a week later i noticed what appears to be aiptasia...my main tank is a year and a half old and that piece of LR is now where near recent...Is this possible..I keep a pep shrimp in my main tank ive never had aiptasia...

It happens, although rarely. Sometimes you have a tiny one that you don't even notice it was there all the time. This is one of the thing about reef tank that keeps me "entertained" in a way, you know. :D

It happens brutha.

I discovered aptasia on LR that had been in my tank for 3 years and never even noticed it once before then....

LN, its me puff by the way, had to go into stealth mode because I didn't want to draw attention to my previous nick at work where I do armed security....

Its in my mantis tank..not too worried..maybe it will eat it? Yeah saw that you changed your name..funny you said that, cuz i was wondering if the FBI was after ya or sumthing?

It's funny i saw this post, a friend of mine has a 150 the tank has been up for over a year, last week he noticed aiptasia go figure., he's using joe's jucie.

Im not sure what im gonna use to get rid of it..maybe (doubtfully) with any luck they wont spread...its in my mantis tank....if i have to, ill use maybe a kalk paste or joe's juice...Mantises have been known to eat anemones so who knows, maybe he'll eat?

It will probably be easier if you Kalk in tank then mess with it outta tank
