I was doing a long shift the this weekend at work and arrived home monday morning to find my partner in a fluster about having to float hot water bags in the tank to keep it warm, apparently a power cut had been going on for the past 8 hours. Everything in my tank is still alive but the pump had been inactive for that time the bacteria being anarobic has bitten the dust. Ive got live rock and live sand that is keeping everything alive (barely) but is there any way to get bacteria cultured in the filter quicker than when i started or is it going 2 be the same long process again? any help would be great as ive spent a lot of money on the tank and i dont want to have to start from scratch
