We just got back our 660 from IceCap after sending it in for repair, and my husband tried to hook it up again to our 4 bulbs but it still wont light anything. What are we doinmg wrong????? It's driving us crazy and we want this to work already. He has set it up by using the 4 bulb diagram but nothing happens. There is nothing coming from the ballest (sound or anything). Is there something that he has to flick on the ballest to get it going?? It's really frustraiting!!

Thanks!

Only thing I can think of is to check the fuse. It's located one one of the narrow sides (needs a flat-head screwdriver to twist and take out). If Icecap just serviced it, I'm wondering if the wiring is incorrect.

We've checked the fuse and it's OK too. It's driving me crazy!! The canopy has been on my living room floor for 2 weeks now and I just want it to work.

The wireing looks just like it does in the diagram.

We don't know what to do, and IceCap is closed for the night.

It could be bad tube. I had this happen and tracked it to a bad tube. If one bulb is bad - none of the bulbs will light. I received a bad tube new from the factory (URI). I ordered four and one was bad. Luckily I was replacing some old tubes and had some spares to try. I bought if from Marine Depot and they asked that I supply the serial number from the bad one and they replaced it no problem. I don't have it handy but there was a troubleshooting guide for the ballast - it might be online. If I remember there are some things that you can troubleshoot related to whether the lights try to start or not. If something is not correct with any of the bulbs or wiring none will start. I have the exact ballast and it has performed flawlessly. If all else fails try wiring it for two bulbs to see if this changes things.

If you have it wired for four bulbs you must have all four bulbs in - and all four bulbs must be good. It will not work with one, two, or three bulbs. It does not work like a normal flourescent fixture that you might get from Home Depot.

Adding to the above. If you want to run two bulbs you must rewire the lights according to the diagram on the ballast. My point is that the ballast is wired differently depending on the number of bulbs.
