Hello, my tank has been rinning for a couple, and everything seemed ok until this morning, brown algae started to blow!!! its only over live rock right now, but im sure it will expand, whats the best way to counter it??

Time. Did you set up correctly? RODI, etc? Relax, it will go away too. Start adding critters..snails, etc.

run some carbon or a polyfilter, add snails and hermits, change some water, decrease your photoperiod if necessary.

Whats the TDS on the "product" output of your RO/DI?

If you don't have one, get one. - If you don't know, find out.

oh yes, i forgot on the of the stock answers "increase circulation"

but do what gratefuldiver said first because that's much better advice

It's a natural occurance. Expect some major algae blooms if your tank is only a couple weeks to months old. Over time, the system will perform a "self balancing" act. You'll need to make sure the water you add to the tank is free of nutrients algae thrives off of. As others mentioned, a RO/DI filter will really help. A TDS meter will help you check the quality of your water.
