Haven't been around MH that long but the general gist-
MH SE Pros- cheaper, more temp combinations
Cons- Bigger, run hotter, less efficient
MH DE Pros- Smaller, more efficient, easier to work around.
Cons- more $, need to add expensive reflector with built in glass or locate uv coated tempered glass; ie: hard to DIY.
Go with the DE if you can. It's better in the long run, and it looks cool. :wink:
