I put up a message here last week or so about power coming out from my live rock. I am seeing it often and all over the place. I am wondering if its something I should be worried about. I was asked for pictures last time and I have just gotten a chance to take some decent onces and put them up. It is very difficult to take pictures for some reason they come out of focus.

Let me know what you guys thing is might be and what can be done about it. I also notice that there are a lot more holes in the live rock now that the fish go in and out of that were never there before. So things are opening up quite a bit. :(

Thanks for the help in advance.

If your seeing lots of different spots that this is ocurring, then I'd believe it was probably a "peanut worm", I've seen them do this as they clean out their holes/drill deeper into the LR. Good sign then. However, keep an eye out for mantis shrimp, they can make the same messes.

Can you please shrink those pics down to a manageable/viewable size?

What kind of rock, and how old is it?

The links above point to the same pictures which are a lot smaller. I left them big so that you can zoom in and see what the powder really is since it is very difficult to see the details.

The rocks are lalo rocks from liveaquaria.com. They have been in my tank for almost 1 year now. I have seen this happening for a while now.

What do mantis shrimps look like. I have a banded shrimp in there now that I got from the LFS (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod ... pCatId=525)

Thanks for the help.

Does anyone know what the problem is according to the smaller pics that are up now? I reallly need to know if this is a problem and how to solve this.

Thanks.
