Otolaryngologist here. Nice to meet another fellow physician/reefer. Your tank is beautiful. If you make the switch over to MH and start to keep SPS corals, you will have to make some adjustments to your present system.

When your present tank really matures, your soft coral will start really growing like weeds. Many of these will not be compatable with new SPS corals which will also start growing like weeds!! You will have to make a livestock decision at that point regarding what you would like to keep.

I also think you fish load is too high. They do look happy and healthy now, but you may want to reconsider your present bioload. Certainly don't add any more fish! Just for comparison, I have only 4 fish (one is a tang) in my 70 gallon tank.

Be patient and take it slowly.

suprisingly the tangs have not grown that much, they have been in the tank almost 2 yrs and are fine, I have 3 tangs, 2 clown, 2 cardinal, 1 dottyback, 1 six line wrasse, 1 niger trigger, 1 goby , 1 yellow hogfish, 2 small neon gobies, 1 damsel, all have been in the tank for quite some time. The only one getting bigger where i may have to move is the trigger,
