I'm currently running 4 t12 VHO bulbs with a white reflector. I'm going to purchase a polished aluminum reflector but am left with a decision to choose between a standard polished or a hammer finish aluminum. Anyone have any advice on which would refract better/more light.

Thanks all

I dont think it makes a crap IMO. If you have a strong freakin light, the reflector should be a mood point. Go with the cheapest, and get a bigger ballast with the money you save ;)

Right. Both pretty much reflect the same amount of light on average. The main difference is that the dimpled reflector is more forgiving in bad physical design, while the polished reflector can potentially give you best configuration, it can also be made poorly.

Another issue is that dimpled reflector give you a more diffused light, while polished one usually give you more caustics/shimmer effect.
