I THINK ITS DYING. IT IS PURPLEISH RED AND IS SHEDDING(FOR LACK OF A BETTER WORD) ITS SKIN AND TURNING WHITE. IT ALSO SEEMS TO BE DISCONNECTING ITSSELF. WHEN I GOT IT IT HAD A 3IN LONG TRANSLUCENT WORM ON IT THAT I GOT OFF AND TOSSED BECAUSE I DIDNT KNOW WHAT IT WAS. PLEASE HELP!!

The universal solution is to try a large volume water change with good quality water. It appears your specimen is not acclimating well to the present water chemistry, which would cause excessive mucus excretion ("shedding")

now its not shedding and the top liioks colorful and healthe but the bottom is turning white and its comming detached from the rock it came on!!! please help

Did you do a big water change? What are your ammonia and nitrite at?

what is your temp? colts usually do not do well at all in temps 80f or over.

A 12 gallon nanocube could experience large swings in salinity, temp, and PH/Alk. I agree that it could be a water chemistry issue. I had a high PH/Alk for a while and my toadstool began to shed and get white spots. After I corrected it it began to get better and now looks pretty good.

You may have had a predatory worm/nudibranch as well. They can cause the same reaction, but usually the whitening is localized to where the offender is attacking.
