Nassarius Snails in which tank?

I currently have my main tank and a refugium. The main tank has around 2 inches sandbed while my refugium has a 4"-5" dsb.

Should I be placing any nassarius snails into my refugium? I was wondering if they would actually find enough food sources since im actually feeding directly into main tank and not the refugium/sump.

I also want to diversify both my sandbeds, Can anyone recommend what snails,worms,amps,cocepods to buy and where I can buy them?

I think you would want them mainly in the main tank since they are detrivores, and the sandbed will have much more nutrients for them to consume. Being detrivores they will help consume fish waste and uneaten food.

I would keep them in both, What you basically want is the main tank aggitated to such a degree that the detritus and other such crud is put into suspension and then transported to the refugeium. Nassarus perform two functions very well, firstly in consuming the detritus, and secondly in keeping the sand bed aggitated and turned over. They basically do both, but something like a queen conch would probably be too big to go into your avarage refugia, so id place them in the main tank, allso tiger tail cukes can go in there too. But in the fuge, something burrowing such as the nassarus is great. Nice job on the cleanup crew selection.
