orange polyp..I don't want anymore !

Hi,
My name is Herve and I'm a french aquarist...I'd like to know if someone knows the name of this "coral species" :

Under the Oxycirrhites typus (between brown and orange, individual polyp with a stem)
And if somebody knows if a fish could eat it... maybe a Pomacanthus sp. or a Chaetodon sp. ?? The other corals of this aquarium are mainly SPS...

If I am seeing right the coral under the hawk looks like a chili coral. If you dont want it why not just snip to away and burn the stump off with some kalk paste?

Alcyonium Palmatus could be the actual ID, also known as chili coral. Is there a way for you to get a brighter focused cropped shot? If your not talking about the knobby thing directly unde rthe middle of the hawk can you be more specific?

I don't know what it's called i'm afraid, but a LFS near me has a display tank that is infested is the only word to describe it.
A normal looking zooanthid polyp type head on an thin 1" long stem, orangey brown in colour, all surfaces are covered with the stuff, i'll try and get the name, or one of the more experienced Reefers here should be able to pull the name out of the air for you.

Yah, hydriods IMO. I've seen ones that look like that.

Yeah, I think hydroids too. I would try rubbing kalk paste over them, or maybe if you have a euphyllia you could try moving it to sting them. It might work...
