Hi,

I've had my current setup as it is now for about a year (it's been running for 3 years, but has undergone some changes in that time). Currently it is :

main tank : 24" long * 15" high * 12" deep
sump : 20" long * 10" high * 12" deep
refugium : 15" long * 11.5" high * 12" deep

I have ordered a tank which is 48" * 18" * 18"

I'm looking for some inspirtation on how to set the system up - specifically plumbing and filtration. I currently have a Deltec APF600 skimmer. I'm completely open to all input....miracle mud, DSB, etc.

I also have a tank which is 36" * 12" * 12".

Give me some ideas on what to do. I'm going to take a shot at drilling too.

I've never really thought of a closed loop or anything like that and to be honest, wouldn't know where to start so some suggestions for that would be nice too.

I would like to have a sump and seperate refugium if possible, but would settle for an in sump fuge if that's what would be in the best setup.

TIA

Dickie

Do you have a separate room or basement to plumb the sump in? It can get pretty cramped underneath a 48" tank, not to mention the noise.

I think that would be the best setup.

unfortunately not, the stand is higher than most for the size of tank though. I don't remember what size exactly and I'm at work just now.
