skinny fish

hey all , I have a ? . I have a school of chromis and one seems to have a shrunken in stomach no matter how much i feed him. hes getting skinny by the day .The same thing happened to one of the others till he passed away. So could this be some sort of parasite? ANy suggestions on treatment ect.............Thanks ........MERRY CHRISTMAS

I had a similar problem with a yellow tang and it passed away I was told that it could have been an internal parasite. I dont know of the medication that i tried I dont like using most medicines in my tank but try setting up a quarantine and getting medicine for internal parasites. Good luck.

Does he eat hardily or do the others keep food from him? It very well could be an internal parasite, best treated asap in a QT tank.

What species of Chromis?
Not all species school the same. It's very possible others are preventing it from getting adequate foods. Sounds like it could possibly be a hierarchy problem since it's happened previously.
