Remora or BakpakII ?

I'm looking at getting a good skimmer for my 46 Gal bowfront.

I've heard good things about both skimmers, i've found that the bakpak is the cheaper of the 2 by about $50
So i was wondering how big a difference there was between them running on a tank, which is easiest to use, more bang for buck etc? :?

I have no experience with the bakpak skimmer, but I've heard its a good skimmer.

Personally, I own a Remora Pro, and if you decide to go the AquaC route won't be disapointed with its performance.

I've used a BakPak -- a 46g tank with any significant bioload will likely be too much for it, though it is a good skimmer for like a 20g or even a 29g. You'll be glad down the road if you go Remora Pro roue likely Haloway suggested.

Ramora Pro, it's a better unit all around. It'll pull more and last longer. The "venturi" design of the RVT Rio pump simply sucks (no pun intended). It clogs with salt really quickly, the Ramora won't have that problem.

I have a 75 Gal, and I bought the Aqua C Remora Pro with the optional Mag Drive pump and Prefilter box 3 weeks ago.
If you have you're tank set up in you're living room, I will tell you that it's kinda on the loud side (both the pump and skimmer)
Also the prefilter box is huge on the Pro.
As far as performance.............I'm still playing with the collection cup height, I'm either getting dark brown water or nothing at all, someone just gave me some advice on this, they told me to position my cup about 3/4 of an inch from being bottomed out.
So if you don't mind prefilter boxes and pumps on the inside of you're tank than AquaC and Bak Pak are a couple of you're choices.
My LFS has a Prizim Deluxe on his 75 Gal reef and he says he loves it, I will say that on his everything is on the outside of the tank and is whisper quiet.
But every thing you read will tell you the Aqua C is the HOT to own :?

I use the AquaC Remora on my 30 and I have no complaints.
