Are you having trouble finding a mantis?

They seem to be pretty common in my area. I just found one for Chris (cdeakle) and I would be happy to do the same thing for someone else if needed. I won't charge you anything beyond what I pay for the animal and shipping. I don't feel comfortable shipping a huge scyllarus, but anything in the 1-3" range shouldn't bust out of the bag during shipping.

Just recieved my awesome mantis from Jim. I can't thank him enough. Well packaged and arrived safe and sound. Feisty little bugger kept trying to get out of the bag into his new home when I was acclimating him.

I went to my LFS last week and they had an awesome peacock, about 5 inches long $45. First one I ever saw there....

Depends on species and size. Between 20 and 40 bucks for the mantis usually. Shipping is like $8.00.
I wont' be able to check again until next week.

:? Do mantis shrimp make clicking noises, and are theyhard to see? like do they come out or stay in the rock? Ofcorse i have this going on in my tank and dont know why. just trying to figure it out. :?
