Is this real? Colorful Squamosa

New to RDO.
Was cruising Ebay and saw this clam. Can Squamosas be that colorful?

Yes, squamosas can be that colorful. That one is quite pretty. The price is a little to high IMHO. Well, maybe not since it is a beefy 6" long clam.

Surprising all the clams that grow to be "giant" that I have seen in the Derasa, Squamosa, Gigas species have been pretty drab.

They do come is some drab colors, but often very beautiful specimans can be found, like the one on ebay.

Definitely. The Red Sea Squamosa's are even prettier than that.

That's hardly a high price for that clam. I say snatch it up.

funny how when i started out in freshwater 2 decades ago, a $5 fish was expensive.. now an $80 clam is a good deal... hehe.. no wonder i'm broke..

I saw a huge clam a few years ago off an island in Thailand called Koh Tao and it was beautiful, at least 3 feet long.
