lol. I think with open tops man you are fairly screwed to having mostly bottom dwellers. Point being that if i was a fish and i saw a big ass thing with 5 fingers rammed down in my territory I'd jump out of the freakin water too

Yeah, the Pseudo is a jumper. It would tear my shrimp to shreds too. Cool looking fish though!

Andy,
that uri.sakura.ne page has some great photos of really cool fish, but unfortunately most are rare or completely unavailable in the trade. Here's another that I'd like to get, but...

Ptereleotris grammica

I ordered some Trimma gobies from liveaquaria.com, but they are apparently unavailable at the moment. We'll see what happens.

Oh yeah, I also discovered one of the Eviota gobies lived! Long story, but it is now in its new tank and out and about. Cute little thing.

:D

There was an article on Ptereleotris at reefkeeping.com that said they were rarely available, which is more than 'never'. ;)

Another one I like is Lipogramma trilineata, except for the multi thousand price tag. Can't find a pic online but it's in SM's Reef Fishes Vol 2.

So looks like the Eviota goby I got is Eviota pellucida, if this photo is ID'd correctly. It looks almost identical.

It is right. Neon/2 stripe pygmy goby. Very cool choice. I have seen some with a less translucent more orange body. How much will this 1/2" of fish set you back? Andy

They were $20 a piece :(

I'm not very impressed. Cool looking, but much more approriate for a pico sized 1 gallon or 1/2 gallon tank. My own damn fault I suppose....

I like them. $20.00 does not sound to bad. Cap. bred?

Get a small marine betta/comet and put in there. They grow slow and he will take care of the little fish for you.
