Does anyone have experience with Fang Blennies? I'm interested in a Canary Fang Blennie for yellow color but I've never seen one in person or know anyone who has. I want to know about their personalities, needs, how well they get along with other fish, and appearance.

I've got a canary blenny. It was captive bred by ProAquatix. It's a very cool fish. He spends his day hunting for pods around the live rock. In quarantine, he ate cyclopeeze, but once I put him in the main tank with all the live rock and critters, he no longer was interested in frozen foods. He stays pretty fat on pods. He's very peaceful -- completely indifferent to other fish, and the other fish are indifferent to him. I've heard that wild caught specimens fare less well in captivity. The most common complaint is that they never eat. I think it's a good idea to only introduce these fish to an established tank with a lot of live rock. Also, you should only keep them singly. I started with a pair (siblings), but they began fighting intensely, and I gave one away. They generally don't tolerate other fang blennies in the same tank.

Very nice fish, and very easy to care for. Unlike other blennies that squat most of the time, it's an active fish that will swim out in open water once it's acclimated. No special care in terms of feeding, and it gets along with just about everything (that doesn't resemble it).
