I mean literally.

Some of my Monti Caps are at or near the water line.

Some of my other SPS are within a few inches. My Seriatopora is within a half inch of the water line! :D

Hmmm.

Picture to follow in a few minutes.

Did you mean to post this topside?

Frag them up and help make the hobby more reliant on captively propagated corals!

Frag 'em! Send 'em out and share the love!

Heck, I'd be happy with some plain jane brown monti caps right now actually..

Frag em up.

I am really enjoying massive frag clear cutting - its like you get a whole new tank to play with.

I am a fragging fool.

The last few months supplies have been on store credit and they still owe me over $200. :D

I hate the idea of butchering the tops off these corals.

They'll look ugly then.

hmmm, a taller tank may be the answer. :D

Nice corals. Like the other said "Frag em". Trade for things or just sell them to recoupe some of the hobby cost. Nothing really to it. Most will just snap with your fingers. Get some live rock rubble and super glue gel and have a frag party.

I agree with fragging them. We raised over $1500 last year to donate to the MS Society by selling frags out of our tank. It didn't take long before we had to frag again. We also have a large credit at the LFS. If we didn't donate most of our frag sales to charity we would be making money on our tank. We auctioned off a 2' diameter toadstool leather that was taking up 1/3 of our tank and it brought in over $100 for our MS Society donation. If you have a charity that you support and offer to donate the proceeds to that charity, many reef keepers in the area will usually be happy to donate to the cause. Everyone wins!

There are mushrooms in the tank.

Maybe I can just let nature takes it course.

Frag as much as I can and wait til the shrooms eventually take over.

Then get a 300G tank and start over.

The 300 will never see a shroom. At least not intentionally. They are the devil.

Go for a complete overhaul, and frag them from the back, placing the remining heads lower down in the tank. Coral's preferable to rock i assume. Looks like youve got a buisy weekend infornt of you either way. Oh, and congrats man, nice effort.

Nice looking corals, Louey! Yeah they may look funky right after fragging, but they will heal over and look great again quickly.
