I just want to apologize if I should have put this in the hitchhikers forum, but I already identified it, so I didn't know:

Well, heres a link to the picture, its pretty neat. Its about the size of a button. Has a single mouth in the middle, and folds up at night. Can you guys help me find the real name for it, I'd like to see if I can encourage its growth.

Thanks,

**OH**

Also, I think I might have an outbreak of Aiptasia, but I don't know, I looked it up on the net and I can't find any pictures that resemble it. The closest thing is that of a bubble-tip anemone, but these area a drab orangeish/brown with what look like little condoms (sorry, but they really do!) as the extentions. Could you guys maybe help me with some pics of those as well?

Thanks again,
Matt

That mushroom anemone is a Rhodactis sp. If you get us a pic of yours maybe we could ID it to the species level. All appreciate low to moderate flow (they shouldn't be getting folded over from the flow) and can tolerate low light levels. If yours is green like that, I think it would do better under higher light, but it can handle low light as well. Try feeding it some small pieces of flake or frozen food with a turkey baster. Just lay it on the mouth. It should fold up and consume it.

I need to get a turkey baster first, but I'll try that! Thanks for the help. I also have it near the surface close to the light. I will also try to get pics of it before long.

Thanks again,

Matt

No prob, MATT :D

A turkey baster is one of those things every reefer should have. Good for blowing detritus off rocks, sucking up leftover food, target feeding, etc.
