Anyone ever used the TECO Seachill Chillers?

i would def. talk to him before you buy it ...

are you referring to the Ecoplus chillers he advertised in his forum? The price is great but this chiller will be located in my living room so looks and noise are very important factors.

From what it looks the Tecos are sleek, compact, and very quiet (29 dB) which would be worth the extra couple hundred bucks they cost if they are as nice as advertised...

yes they are a bit pricey, which is why i am looking for opinions on reliability, real life performance vs. advertised, etc. before i pull the trigger on one.

i am willing to pay more for a chiller that looks nice and isn't obnoxious when it kicks on.

i am also willing to take suggestions on other chillers...my requirements are, small footprint, nice looking, and QUIET. Otherwise the wife won't put up with it.

I had the older models and they were perfect. Quiet and efficient. MSHUR has the new 1/4hp model. PM him and see what he says. I have only heard of a few problems with them and were addressed by the maker right away.

Wes, I saw the new TECO's at MACNA - very quiet and cool running - they had plumbed into a dispenser with lemonade - it was a nice cold drink

yeah thanks, they do the same thing for Reef Central...Mention RC and they take 15% off, which is another reason i may do it.
