Well for my b-day my GF (knowing nithing about SW tanks. but asking alot of the right questions) bought me a fish for me 3 month old tank. she bought me what the store called a big eyed soldierfish. aftre watching him and doing a breif search on him I noticed he might be a Big Scale soldierfish.

The question is...I can not find much on the net about thise speices...does anyone have any experiance on this type of fish? or does anyone knoe where I might find some more information on this guy. (he seems to be doing just fine right now)

question 2...should feeding time be such a frenzy? with the new guys he seems to push my little shole of green chromis out of the way to east...they pick what he leaves behind...my sally light foot is jumping off of rocks to grab floating by...green chromis go crazy darting in each direction to eat...it is a mad house of mopvement when food is introduced into the tank. Is this a normale behavier...or is something worng that I should be aware of?

Thank you for any info

All soldierfish are generally hardy, but they grow rather big (12"+) so beware. Yes, these fish are aggressive during feeding time and eat like pigs, so your's is doing great.

Usually, Big Scale Soldierfish refers to M.jacobus (common names are a bit tricky and ambigious). Here's some general info:
