I am looking at introducing a Yellowhead Jawfish to my 20g tank. I have a Canary Blenny in there already. Liveaquaria.com says that caution should be used when placing both of these in the same aquarium. So should I even get the jawfish? or does this caution just mean to do stuff like turn the lights off?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what Liveaquaria.com could be talking about. They aren't really the same color or same shape, and they don't inhabit the same level of the tank. I dunno. I'd think they'd be fine together. Perhaps someone else will weigh in on this.

Thats what the description says about them. I can't wait to get him in my tank :) but the last thing I want is to have my canary blenny kill the jawfish.

Thanks for all your input

I would be more worried about the jawfish jumping out. They seem to find the smallest opening. I had one jump through the flow of a aquaclear 300. This was a small slot that was uncovered for the h2o flow. Andy

nah he shouldnt bother him. But andys right, they are very active at night time, check him out at night man its pretty funny.

If you get one, I would wait and then get another...for this reason.

They will each have seperate burrows instead of inhabiting the same one. Jawfish like to decorate their holes with rock and even corals. The prettier the better to them. What is really funny is. At night time you can watch them try to steal each others decorations hehe.
